Altogether too many people in the UK are having payment protection insurance literally forced on them when they go in for a loan of any kind. This is generally done using scares tactics such as telling the person applying for the loan that a denial is imminent without the cover. This is absolutely not true and it is totally illegal for any lender, at any time, to make someone take out a loan protection insurance policy.
